Best of Success Seminar

Roofing Contractor’s Best of Success was held at the Wigwam Resort in Phoenix, AZ Sept. 30-Oct. 1. Diamond Roofing’s leader, Kevin Gwaltney was in attendance and was selected to be a representative for the panel discussion on succession planning. This session was titled “Tough Questions Roofing Owners Should Ask Themselves Today.”

Big Well in Greensburg, KS

Greensburg, Kansas is home to the world’s largest hand dug well, measuring 109 feet deep and 32 feet in diameter. To put this in perspective, it is roughly the same length of a 10 story building and is a little over half of the diameter of the dome at the Topeka Capitol. The Big Well is a marvel of pioneer engineering that was completed in 1888 as the town’s original water supply. Over three million visitors from every state in the nation and many foreign countries have visited this breathtaking sight. In 2008, former Governor Kathleen Sebelius awarded it as one of the “8 wonders of Kansas.”
